Rosie Art

So, Rosie is becoming quite the budding artist. She is not 3 until mid December, but she managed to open 'Paint' whilst I wasn't in the room, and create this masterpiece entirely unaided! I was quite impressed!

Here she is with a drawing of a cat. I drew my cat first and then she copied it. Again, quite impressive! (She is also wearing my Snow White dress which is now about 32 years old and has been worn by all the girls in our family).

And lastly, here she is with her big brother after a good painting session. She was very proud of her work, and both pieces of art are now proudly on display in our kitchen.

Robots take over our Saturday…

I’ve missed having the kids at home on their first week back at school. It seems so quiet with just Rosie in the house until 2pm. So today Barney and I spent a good half of the day at the kitchen table making a robot with a cereal box. He was delighted to make a robot with his Mummy. I cut out the shapes and then let him design it, and it turned out to be pretty cool, as you can see in the photos! I quite enjoyed myself too.

A get well party for Mummy

It's only a cold. Another blooming cold.

I awoke this morning to the sounds of Barney on the landing getting a 'get well Mummy' party ready. When I made it out of bed I had to go to Rosie's bedroom where Barney had a sleeping bag and cushions on the floor, a cup of tea and some toasted wheaten bread with Marmite, and some specially invited teddy guests waiting. He had made me two of the best drawings I have ever seen! He obviously put a lot of effort into them! I nearly cried when he gave them to me. And right enough they did make me feel much better......

Monsters

Barney made this picture of monsters today on the computer, and I just wanted to put it on the blog because I thought it was so great! what do you think??
